DAY CARE

International Kids House is pleased to offer morning and full-day classes for your child, whether in preschool or early preschool. All of our programs are offered in a safe and happy environment that is conducive to learning. Furthermore, they will ensure that your child has the tools he or she needs to succeed in elementary school.

International Kids House provides educational programs in both Russian and English languages. Truly bilingual cultural environment of our program enhances child’s understanding and acceptance of the complexity of the world, multi-cultural differences and similarities. International Kids House aims at early development of creativity and innovation in child through insertion into bilingual environment, which enables the child to mature with embracement of cultural specifics, acceptance of different points of view, and ultimately leads to a non-violent and non-discriminative behavior and respectful relationships.

Our programs are theme-based and place a strong emphasis on phonics. Some of our objectives include: listening skills, cooperative play, respect for others, fine and gross motor development, letter and sound recognition of Russian and English languages, basic sight-word recognition, basic reading strategies, writing (numbers, letters, words, and basic sentences), counting and recognizing numbers, recognizing and distinguishing shapes and colors, identifying patterns, being able to sort and group objects, counting by five and ten, basic measurement in standard and non-standard units, basic estimating and graphing, simple addition, and science discovery. We obtain these objectives through stories, learning centers, and various activities during each unit.

International Kids House operates two campuses, with the one in Fairfax accepting children of slightly different age range – from 1.5 years old. Please check Fairfax Campus page for further details.
